Addy's new role.

I just wanted to mention that I will have photos up soon of Addy's newest role. We will be filming her part over two weekends, starting this Saturday and Sunday. (Hopefully it won't rain, this weekend is outdoor scenes!)

Addy plays Katie, the daughter of an abusive and alcoholic father. She is one of the principal roles, and has some pretty dramatic scenes!! The movie is called Magic 8 Ball.

I will try to get photos up next week. Wish us luck - now back to rehearsing those lines!!

Just saw the movie!!

I just saw the film and was blown away. It was so good!! I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was either - Jennifer Hudson had so many funny lines.

There were three girls used for the role of Young Lily, Addy being one of them. It was neat to see how they put everything together.

We waited to see the end credits, and all three girls are listed under the heading "Young Lilys". We cheered real loud (our group) when we saw Addy's name. It was pretty exciting!!

Also feel I must mention how incredible the scene is when Lily tells August about her past. Dakota's performance is stellar! It makes you cry, you feel for her!! Everyone was great - Zach, Rosaleen, May, June, TRay, what a great cast!!

All I can say is WOW!!

Addy's agent recently did a web search with just these words in the title: "Addy Miller Secret Life of Bees". The amount of pages that opened up and had Addy listed in the credits on their sites was absolutely amazing to us.

Here is our little girl on all these sites. One of them I created a page for her, because it had a place you could do that. This is the site I did it on http://www.sidereel.com/The_Secret_Life_of_Bees if you go to cast, you can click on Addy's name and it will take you to her page, or you can just click on it here http://www.sidereel.com/Addy_Miller . I just think it is neat to see her name in the cast list with a picture. Anyway, I added some TSLOB trivia from Addy's time on set.

We also got our first request for an autographed picture from a complete stranger!! It was sent to Addy's agent, who forwarded it to me. I have contacted the person to obtain his/her address. I am also curious about who he is and what he wants with the autograph. This is new to us; Addy is still so young. I just want to protect her.

New work for Addy

It has been a while since I have posted for Addy's site. I have also been neglecting our family site too. But I am here now - just with an update.

Addy has been busy getting some pretty big auditions, and has been offered two roles that I would like to share. One role she was offered last month - it is for a film called "Soldiers of Christ" in which she will play a slave child. I am unsure her character name at this moment - there is a group of seven slave children. It won't be until they are in character that they will place them where they want. Addy might get to be the lucky one that succumbs to malnutrition and gets dragged around by the others. Haha - you never know. It is a film set in a war zone, so the make up and such should be pretty good. She is set to film her scene on November 8th.

Addy has also been offered a pretty neat role in a film called "Magic 8 Ball". She will be one of the five main characters - Katie. She did the audition last week, and they liked her so much, they had her do her callback while we were there. They contacted us today that she got the part. It will be the biggest speaking role she has gotten to date. Her scenes will be shot over two weekends (so she doesn't miss school) the last two weekends of October.

I will try to keep this site posted as often as possible. Between school, two soccer teams, and auditions, Addy has been pretty busy - as well as the rest of our house.
