First Look: Official production still from THE WALKING DEAD!
Posted By Matt Holmes on June 11, 2010 - 9:45 am
Simply put – It’s the single greatest shot of a zombie I’ve ever seen on film. BEST – ZOMBIE – EVER!
Would you expect anything less from a Frank Darabont production, who may well give us the definitive last word on the genre. Because that’s just what this guy does best, and he’s working from source material in The Walking Dead that lends itself to his ambitious storytelling. Has Darabont made zombies scary again?
I found the above still from AICN who have this amazing quote from the director;
“Greg Nicotero is absolutely out-doing himself… The work he is doing is beyond what one could hope for. Our zombies kick ass!”
We believe the above still is taken straight from the first issue of Robert Kirkman’s series when our hero Rick encounters a zombie as he races back home to see if his family has been infected…
The Walking Dead began filming last week, and it’s six episode first season will be shown on AMC in October.

"One Last Sunset" completed.
Addy in makeup for filming. Her character Cricket is sick here. The makeup artist even drew in veins, she looked remarkable.
This is a production still that has already been released of Addy as Cricket.
Tiffany LeShai McMinn plays Cricket's mom, Sheri. I think they actually look alike here too!
Addy with Director, Kevin Richmond. What a great director to work with, he was absolutely wonderful with Addy, and she was totally at ease with him too.
Addy and the amazing Maxann Harvey-Crotts. Maxann is the Executive Producer, as well as Casting Director for "One Last Sunset". She is a pure delight to work with, everyone loves Maxann :)
We look forward to the Cast and Crew screening, hopefully that will be soon. We will miss seeing everyone!!

:(
Addy had to back out of "Mystery Diagnosis" because we could not get our schedules to coincide.
Addy was set to work with them in Greensboro, NC, but her work on "One Last Sunset" overlapped and it had priority since we were wrapping the film this past weekend (more to come on that).
There will be other shows, we are ok with our decision.

2 TV shows and a music video
We are so excited to announce Addy has booked two TV shows and a music video!!
The first TV show is "Mystery Diagnosis" on the Discovery Health channel. She will be playing a 9 yr old girl in re-enactment scenes.
The second show is a new series being filmed in Atlanta. More details to come when we are allowed to talk about it. Right now everything is "hush hush"!! So exciting!!
Addy will be starring in the music video (acting NOT singing). It is a song that has already been recorded and has a video of the artist (Patrick Watson) and the Cinematic Orchestra from London playing it. Now an actual video with scenes will be created!! Patrick Watson is a Pop artist out of Canada.

Addy's new role in "Remnants"
We found out last night Addy was cast in a new movie called "Remnants". This is a full length feature film being shot in North Carolina. Addy will be Melissa Bernard, daughter of Art Bernard, the lead character. Robert Pralgo has been cast as the lead, Art. Here is a link to his IMDB page - such an impressive resume! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1128418
We are very excited! Here are some more stats on Remnants ...
Director: Tim Szczesniak
Writer: Paul Hilburger
Producer: Kevin Woods
Production Manager: Jeremy Cid
Score: Steve Grove
Visual Effects: Matt Haas
Art Bernard : Robert Pralgo (Male Lead)
Gwen Bernard : Vanelle Lyn (Female Lead)
Melissa Bernard : Addy Miller
Dave Bernard: Michael S. Thomas
Morris : Jeffrey Briggs
Also cast is Robert Clinton and Jenn Wright - but I am sorry, I don't know what character.
There are a lot more to be cast too - so I might keep editing this post as more ppl are cast.
Filming will begin this July!!
Here's a summary of the movie:
A rare astrological event causes a permanent worldwide blackout, forcing residents of a middle-class suburb to get by with no modern conveniences. The community pulls together and adapts to a simpler way of life, but their success draws the attention of the less resourceful residents in the area and soon results in a war between subdivisions.
You can also follow "Remnants" on facebook!!

Paranormal has had some big successes here lately.
For starters it was accepted into two film festivals!!
Also Paranormal is now officially on the store shelves at Family Christian Bookstores. Some places have been selling out of them quickly too!!
On ChristianCinema.com Paranormal has moved up to the #2 spot on the Suspenseful Thriller list!! And finally, I have saved the best for last ..... Cross Shadow Productions are now in negotiations of Paranormal becoming and INTERNATIONAL release!!
Here are also two reviews of the movie.
This one is by the Dove Foundation, and it has NOT approved the movie as a family film, stating it was too scary for young children, etc. You will have to read the review yourself to find out more ... http://dove.org/MovieReview.asp?Unique_ID=8079
The second review is on a website called Demon Dope. Here's the link http://demondope.com/site/?p=420

Addy's First LEAD Role!!
Addy has been offered a wonderful part in a movie called "Death and Mary Jane" as the lead, Mary Jane. We are so excited!! This short film was written by UNCSA's Lindsay Thompson.
Here's the small synopsis of the film:
"A small, starving town left behind by the struggling textile industry, a family shattered by guilt and death, and a girl who refuses to accept that the world is a bad place. In a story of fading hopes and stolen innocence, the young Mary Jane discovers death, and attempts to befriend him."
Once I read the script, I knew it was a role that could challenge Addy and help her grow as an actress, and I also knew it was role that seemed written for her! Anyone that has read the script and knows Addy has agreed, including our agent's own words "It's PERFECT for Addy!".
Addy really wanted it too and knew the script so well, even before the first audition.
We will keep you all up-to-date as things progress. This film requires weekly rehearsals and filming at the end of April, so we will be working on it for 2 months! Lots of work for Addy, she is in every scene!!

Interesting Article!!
Here's a link to an interesting article about why blonde children are used in horror movies!!
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2146341/why_blonde_children_are_horror_movie.html
published Sept. 10, 2009 and written by L. Vincent Poupard
Here's a recap of the article:
WHY BLONDE CHILDREN ARE HORROR MOVIE STAPLES
By L. Vincent Poupard
Published Sept. 10, 2009 on AssociatedContent.com under the category of movies.
Have you ever noticed the unbalanced number of horror movie blonde children? Have you ever taken a step back and wondered how so many of these kids in horror movies swam in the same gene pool? There is a reason for so many horror movie children having blonde hair.
Many ancient cultures considered blonde-haired children to be a sign of purity. Some of these societies would go to great lengths to protect those with children with blonde hair. Perhaps the best example would have been from the Aryans during Nazi Germany.
If you think about horror movie blonde children, you will realize that there are two ways in which they are used. Blonde kids in horror movies are either used as the target of the evil, or as the evil itself. The main characters either have to do everything that can be done to keep the horror movie blonde child safe, or everything to destroy it.
In the case of keeping the horror movie blonde child safe, the characters usually have to battle some kind of supernatural force that wants to taint the purity of the blonde kid. Also, the blonde child is usually female, as in Poltergeist. The stealing of the horror movie blonde child will be the key to unlocking some greater evil that the world will not be able to withstand.
On the flipside, if the horror movie blonde child is evil, the child will have the outward appearance of purity, but will be completely impure on the inside. This would be a perfect example of the old saying, "A wolf in sheep's clothing." The blonde child will do everything it can do to destroy the main characters so it (itself) can be unleashed upon the world.
Strangely enough, parapsychology has delved into the belief that blonde children might have more abilities in their frontal lobe than others. There is a school of thought that states that blonde children have a higher chance of acquiring abilities that are not studied in the realm of parapsychology. This is all conjecture, and might be for many years to come. If true, though, the horror movie blonde child might have a higher spot in the horror movie chain than before.
In Hollywood, blonde hair has been a sign of purity for many years. Chances are good that it will stay that way. Hollywood has not found it easy to break long-standing traditions. The next time that you see a horror movie blonde child, try to figure out quickly if the character is a symbol of perfect purity, or perfect evil.
Hmmm, makes you think!!

Paranormal review
Here's a review that was left on the Paranormal page on facebook.
I thought it was neat, so I copied and pasted here.
Jason Thornton:
Greetings from Jason at S.P.L.A.T. in PA. I just wanted to let you all know that I just got the movie and it is great! "Paranormal" is everything "Paranormal Activity" was lacking. Your film included more scares than that one at the end of "Paranormal Activity" while at the same time incorporating a terrific story and heart. Your film was well researched while staying accessible to the average viewer. It brings to light how dangerous the field of paranormal research can be if not approached with a very strong faith in God and all Christian teachings. So if anyone viewing this page is interested in investigating the paranormal, just curious in the paranormal, or are already a seasoned vetran in the field, make sure to check out "PARANORMAL". And then share it with a friend...with the lights off! P.S. Nice plug for Pray and Pray 2.5! Loved it...
