Mixed news

Ok, we have been hush hush for a little while about something very exciting Addy just went through. We feel it is ok now to mention it, so here goes.

At the end of July, Addy auditioned for a film called "Battle: Los Angeles" a Columbia Pictures full feature film. The audition went great, and they had her run lines we didn't get sides for and they filmed her and had her do it over and over. So we felt pretty good going home from the audition.

Well she did get a callback!! Addy was the only girl to get one from our agency, and she was the only girl from NC!! The callback was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!! When we arrived, there were girls from all over the US! The auditions had been multi-city, and there were 22 girls there.

Addy was auditioning for a role called Kirsten (8). She had to be able to cry and act frightened. She had both of those down too. First they had to audition for the producers, then if they liked the girl, they moved her to the next round for the director!! There were also girls there for another role Amy (10).

Addy did great for the producers and made it to the next round!! She was then 1 of 7 for the role of Kirsten!! So Addy also auditioned for the director, then we were told it was ok to go home, that they had everything they needed on tape.

The next day, our agent was contacted, and they asked for Addy's info in digital format, she was now one of the FINALIST to be decided in Hollywood! Since then, we have heard an un-official rumor that they decided to go with two girls from Los Angeles. We don't know if this is a fact or not, we know they are still auditioning other roles, but if it is, we couldn't be more proud of Addy for getting so close to an impossible role!!

This was a "run of the film" role!! We would have been on location for months!! As the casting director put it, "this will pay for your child's college education". So you can see why we were so excited about it.

Even though it seems like this is a "no go", she was seen by so many people, and even had her information sent to Hollywood!! We feel that at this point, that we knew she had talent, but now they must know she has some talent, or she wouldn't have made it so far out of so many girls from across the nation!!

Way to go Addy!!
