Finally after being off the site for a week, Addy is back up on IMDb for The Secret Life of Bees role she was in.
.
I looks like IMDb puts corrections up on Fridays, so hopefully Addy will still be listed next Friday (if Mr Lind (Emily's father) doesn't try to have her removed again).
.
Just so you guys know, if he has Addy removed again, I will just do the same back. I did, however, try to get IMDb to list both girls, so we will see what happens. Addy's agent is also working with us on this one.
Ok, enough is enough huh? I am done.

Hi there! Just coming out of lurk mode to say that the IMDb’s processing times for updates can vary, so don’t worry if it’s not changed by next week. I submitted a bunch of updates about three weeks ago, some went live in about four days and I’m still waiting on a deletion to be processed even with screencap proof that it’s the wrong person. :-) The IMDb is kind of tricky since the information is largely fan submitted, but when the site staff can get a copy of the official credit scroll as it appears onscreen (from either a Fox Searchlight press release or after the movie actually premieres), they’ll probably ‘lock’ the credits in place so they can’t be changed.
Anyways, hope you’re having a great weekend!
Thank you Sarah!! I didn't know that IMDb would lock the credits. I guess once the movie premieres in October, Addy will be locked in and noone can change her or ask that she is removed. I was wondering why they reacted to Mr Lind's request to have her removed, really since so much is verified first.
Good evening! Yeah, I definitely respect that the IMDb tries to stay as accurate as possible, but since the site is based on the credits as they appear on screen at the end of a film, they can’t really verify who is actually in the movie and who isn’t until it comes out. It can get really confusing because it really depends on an actor’s contract and how it was negotiated by an agent –so an actor could have a principal role and not be listed in the movie’s credits, or they could do one scene and have it cut but still have the credit listed at the end of the movie. An example is Ellen Pompeo, who had a supporting role in the film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". She had a character name, there are pictures of her filming her scenes and you can watch three of her scenes online, but they ended up being cut from the movie and she didn’t receive a credit in the final scroll so they won’t list her even as (uncredited) or (scenes deleted) for her role. Frustrating! I guess only time will tell, I suppose!
Crossing my fingers that another role comes your way...have a great week!
